Technology Sucks!!!

I have spent countless hours today trying to put together a montage of actors who have performed in Jane Austen related movies and who celebrate birthdays in September. At the moment, I am giving up. There must be an easier way of doing this. I have tried Flickr and Rock You repeatedly. I do not think it has anything to do with the sites. It is just that I will be 63 years old in 2 weeks, and my brain does not comprehend the intricacies of so many social networking choices. I will master it, but not right now. If I stay on the computer much longer, it will be flying out the window to rest in the middle of my cul de sac. If anyone out there has a better idea, please let me know. I am at a standstill.

I must say I agree with you wholeheartedly about technology and I’m only in my 50s.

    • I spent 18 hours without my email because of the virus that went around yesterday. Luckily, my Apple blocks those sort of problems. But when I could sign on, I had over 100 emails to try to decipher. That is absolutely ridiculous!

I agree. I spent lots of time earlier in the week trying to log into my account at my Dr.s office and it kept saying I didn’t have an account. So I tried setting up a new account. It wouldn’t do that either. So I finally gave it up and tried the next day. Same thing the first half of the day. Then later the same day it was like nothing happened. I clicked on the “you have new messages” portion of the site and sure enough it let me logon. Not like a person has all this time to wait. It’s not like they want you to call the office either they really prefer you to go online (which is annoying). Even tho’ it has so many benefits there are moments a person is absolutely frustrated.

  2. I spent two and half hours on the phone with Time Warner trying to solve my RoadRunner problem. We “pinged” the account and everything. Then they switched me to their Technical Support staff. The guy’s words were, “I don’t know nothing about Apple computers. I can’t help you.” He also knows nothing about using double negatives in the English language!

I’m so sorry. I sure hope all this gets resolved for you soon.
